TDMA - Time Division Multiple Access

TDMA - Time Division Multiple Access

Since there's only a limited number of frequencies for wireless devices to communicate on, they must somehow share this space. TDMA divides up the frequency by assigned time slots to each device.

Since each devices can only submit during its time share, TDMA cannot support as many users as CDMA, and transmissions are much slower.

The advantage TDMA offers is a cheaper network, and cheaper handhelds that don't required as much processing power as a CDMA device.
