Delete Prior Doesn't Delete Messages from the Mail Client

From the Message List, you can clean up old emails, by choosing Delete Prior from the menu. This will only delete messages on the handheld, regardless of the email reconciliation settings you specify.

So if you want to delete a large number of emails from both your mail client and your handheld, it's easiest to do that from the mail client (e.g. Outlook)
